Advocacy & Representation:

MCTA retains a legislative and regulatory team in Boston which identifies issues that impact members and insures that our industry has a voice when decisions are being made. MCTA is the face of the industry on Beacon Hill, and we work with members to:

  1. Engage in the legislative & regulatory process;
  2. Advocate with the Healey/Driscoll Administration, legislators and regulatory agencies on issues impacting the industry;
  3. Foster communication and relationship-building with Legislators and policymakers; and
  4. Coordinate opportunities for members to meet with legislators and regulators and to provide testimony on issues that impact them.

Communication:

MCTA keeps members informed of what is going on in the industry locally, statewide, and nationally through:

  1. Monthly e-newsletters;
  2. Regular eblasts on issues of importance;
  3. Quarterly membership meetings;
  4. Regulatory conference calls, and;
  5. A web site that provides information on MCTA activities and what is happening in the Commonwealth. https://www.masscta.org/

Education:

MCTA promotes opportunities to educate members on chemical regulations, and provides:

  1. Insight into both the current and pending regulations that affect the day-to-day operations of your facility; and
  2. Educational workshops, conference calls and speakers that address the concerns of today’s chemistry technology organizations with sales or operations in Massachusetts.

Networking:

MCTA works to develop collaborations with other organizations to promote the sharing of ideas and to expand opportunities for members to engage with others in the profession. MCTA also:

  1. Sponsors an Annual Golf Tournament (September 14, 2023); and
  2. Provides opportunities for networking during membership meetings, subcommittee assignments, and other MCTA events.
