Legislative Policy Committee:

This committee trains a watchful eye on Beacon Hill and tracks the emergence and progress of legislation determined to have an impact on the chemical technologies industry in Massachusetts. Committee members decide to support or oppose legislation and forward the recommendation to the Board of Directors for approval. In keeping with MCTA's commitment to be a proactive, progressive force on business and environmental issues, the committee also drafts and proposes new legislation.

Meets quarterly and by conference call as needed.

Regulatory Committee:

The committee monitors regulatory developments in the Commonwealth for the purposes of: a) informing members of changes in regulations and providing members with a support network to assist their compliance efforts and, b) participating in the regulatory process and affecting the development of regulations before they are instituted.

Meets Quarterly.

Communications/Outreach Committee:

This committee communicates the positive aspects of chemical technologies to stakeholders such as the general public, state legislators, regulators and agencies, by sponsoring community service programs, developing public relations strategies for specific purposes, and promoting the use of sound science in decision making.
